Brief
Back in 2013, Ben at Cycling Guides approached me to design a prototype for his big idea; a series of cycling maps which were designed to be practical, useable yet highly detailed.
Ben wanted a simple, clean style that would appeal across age ranges and we came up with this retro inspired logo, which took the shape of a chainset as it’s starting point.
Once the look and feel of the guides was set, work began on tracing the many routes through the forests; icon creation and layout. Ben and I worked in collaboration through this process.
Since then we’ve worked on three more guides with more in the pipeline.
Result
The result is a range of well-received, clear yet visually appealing guides. These guides have been supported by promotional and advertising materials, and Ben is currently planning the next one.
“Kelly has been designing my Cycling Guides for three years now. From initial concept to finished design she very quickly grasps what is required and uses her magic to bring ideas into fruition.”
